The Welsh Government is the institution which supports the work of the Welsh First minister and his cabinet. The work of the government is scrutinised by members of the National Assembly for Wales. The National Assembly for Wales has a separate entry on WhatDoTheyKnow.

Freedom of Information requests relating to Informing Healthcare, the NHS information technology and national patient record organisation, can be made to the Welsh Government as Informing Healthcare is a programme of the Welsh Government.

The Wesh Government was previously know as the "Welsh Assembly Government" (WAG).
