The Police Service of Scotland (Police Scotland) became operational on 1 April 2013, and replaces the 8 regional police forces in Scotland:
- Central Scotland Police
- Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary
- Fife Constabulary
- Grampian Police
- Lothian and Borders Police
- Northern Constabulary
- Strathclyde Police
- Tayside Police
It also replaces the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency.
