Motability

A public authority

This authority is not subject to FOI law, so is not legally obliged to respond (details).

Motability enables disabled people to use their government-funded mobility allowances to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. While the organisation is not formally subject to Freedom of Information law we list it here due to its close relationship with the Government and its role in setting the policy for the Motability scheme which now forms a defacto significant and core part of the UK social security / benefits system. Benefit regulations specifically support the scheme.

Motability contracts Motability Operations Ltd to deliver Motability scheme.

Do consider if your request would be better directed to the Department for Work and Pensions which is subject to Freedom of Information law.
