Her Majesty's Treasury is the UK government department responsible for public finance policy and economic policy.[1] The Treasury maintains the Combined Online Information System (COINS) containing a detailed analysis of government spending under thousands of category headings.[2] The Chancellor of the Exchequer has overall responsibility for the work of Treasury.[3]
