We at WhatDoTheyKnow have noticed that Cherwell District Council have been responding to requests for information by saying: "Please can we ask that you use our standard form to make your request. This can be located on our website..."

We at WhatDoTheyKnow are concerned about requests being refused on the grounds they have been made by email, rather than, for example via a public body's website. Requests in-writing are valid however they are sent to a public body (see the Information Commissioner's Guidance on making valid requests).
