CAP is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 but has is included on the site due to its public function. CAP is responsible for the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing.The CAP website states: "CAP and BCAP have made a commitment to being a transparent organisation and will voluntarily: * Publish some of the information a public authority would be obliged to make public.
