Wildlife exclusive reserves on Forestry Commission Land
marcus hollingshead made this Freedom of Information request to Forestry Commission
The request was successful.
From: marcus hollingshead
9 October 2008
Dear Sir or Madam,
Please could you let me know the following.
What percentage of land owned, managed or maintained by the
Forestry Commission or associated bodies that is designated as
wildlife exclusive.
That is;
- no public access or very limited access
- little or no human intervention
- no livestock access (sheep, bovines, horses etc)
Further could you please enlighten me as to what programs are
currently in place by the same bodies in order to further increase
this figure.
Yours faithfully,
Marcus Hollingshead

Dear Marcus Hollingshead
Please find attached a reply to your information request about land
designated as 'wildlife exclusive'.
(I have attempted to recall an earlier email which I sent a few minutes
ago. However, if you have already received that email please ignore the
reply because it omitted information about what programmes are in place
to increase land designated as 'wildlife exclusive'.)
Yours sincerely
Karen Simpson
