regarding Lancashire Council's Wide Area Network (WAN).

i) Who is the incumbent supplier of your Wide Area Network
Services?

ii) Do you use a Systems Integrator for your WAN? If so, please
specify who.

iii) What is the length of your contract with your WAN supplier?

iv) When does your current contract expire? (mm/yy)

v) What is your buying process? (For example you buy through
'Buying Solutions')

Dear Ms Follen,

Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000

Further to your email of 20^th August, in which you request the disclosure
of information under the provisions of the above Act, we are now in a
position to respond. The answers to your numbered queries are set out
below.

i) The WAN is provided by 3 suppliers - BT, Cable and
Wireless and NTL:Telewest

ii) We support the WAN equipment in-house.

iii) General circuits are ordered on a 3 year term with
the main core circuits on a 5 year term.

v) OGC or in-house web site
