What action was taken by SMBC when I reported inadequate removal of brown asbestos?

Sheila Oliver made this Freedom of Information request to Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Waiting for an internal review by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council of their handling of this request.

Sheila Oliver

Dear Stockport Borough Council,

I note from comments made by the Chief Executive, Eamonn Boylan, that the Council has not got asbestos insurance for the toxic waste dump school and was fully aware that this was not obtainable. One has to wonder why the school was put on such a site!

I reported inadequate removal of brown asbestos to the Council. Please let me know what action was taken. If none, as I suspect, then the Council facing a bill of possibly tens of millions of pounds for decades to come. How will this be funded?

I am going to have to report this ban on any information being released to the Law Society regarding the Council Solicitor, Barry Khan. It was obviously untrue from the start that I was vexatious and the Information Commission was misled in regards to that. Add to that what has gone on with Mr Parnell and I have to wonder if senior council officers at Stockport and Executive councillors are fit people to hold public office.

I look forward to hearing from you. Any refusal to respond will be reported to the Council's underwriters, who may not wish to continue insuring such officials, given the dangerous and reckless things that have gone on.

Yours faithfully,

Sheila

FOI Officer, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council

Dear Mrs Oliver,

I am writing in response to your request for information below (ref 4395).

As you have previously been informed, your requests for information about
Harcourt Street are considered to be vexatious under section 14(1) Freedom
of Information Act 2000 and manifestly unreasonable under Regulation
12(4)(b) Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and will not receive a
response. This decision has been through the Council’s internal review
process and was upheld. It has also been investigated by the Information
Commissioner’s Office at your request; the ICO upheld the Council’s
decision in its Decision Notice.

Yours sincerely,

Dear FOI Officer,

But the Council lied to the Information Commission.

I find it impossible to consider Sheila Oliver's FOIA request as vexatious and the youtube video of the asbestos removal was clearly ILLEGAL
