Dear Mr Wagstaff

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Information Request 523

Thank you for your email, set out below, received in the FOI office on 14
May 2009.

I write to advise that this clarification request was also received in the
FOI Office on 9 May 2009 and was immediately sent to James Nicholson to
deal with. There was such a short lapse in time between his response to
you and your clarification request that it was not logged as a new
request.

Mr Nicholson will respond as soon as possible.

Dear FOI,

Regrettably as clearly shown full compliance when requested and
delays to Freedom of Information seem to be a common failure from
West-Lindsey District Council to date. This fully documented.

The conflicting information in the public domain on this issue
"'West Lindsey District Council use of "RIPA"?'when supplied by
WLDC officials, require absolute clarification which is still
outstanding to date.

This along with inappropriate document format as supplied by this
District Authority are hopefully being addressed so that requests
then meet the standards as stated from the Information
Commissioner, and required to meet West Lindsey District Councils
Statutory obligations to the public.

Yours sincerely,

Mr B P Wagstaff

James Murray left an annotation (19 May 2009)

WLDC regularly and consistently engage in tactics of delay, evasion and obfuscation when asked questions concerning their failures. For example, on 18th December 2008 their chief executive, when asked how many persons he had sentenced to the 'single point of contact' administrative ploy, replied 'One'.This was untruthful and he was immediately contradicted by two persons who knew this to be so WLDC were asked specifically on this site and in other places the same question. The result is a five month delay and still there are no answers other than contradictory statements. [see my several FOI requests on this site for this and other examples not one of which has been supplied with all the information requested.
At least it is hoped that the embarrassment caused to this failed council may eventually shame it into more honest and less devious behaviour.

The behaviour of WKDC to date causes public outrage.

James Murray left an annotation (23 May 2009)

This is typical of how WLDC duck and weave in their (successful ) efforts to evade the truth. They have no shame that their delays and evasion result in considerable injustice.

Keep asking WhatDoThey Know ? and eventually they will
be unable to hide the truth any more.

Incidentally a case in point is that they they continue to shield their untruthful CE after more than five months after his exposure. The simple truth is that the man lied, and refuses to to admit this. He has no excuse and cannot hide for ever.
