Paul Hancocks made this Freedom of Information request to Prime Minister’s Office
Prime Minister’s Office did not have the information requested.
From: Paul Hancocks
13 May 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
In a previous request I asked for information about a situation in
which a company called Phorm published a website. On that site
Phorm made claims about communication with the website managers at
10 Downing Street. I will read the response to that request with
interest in due course when it arrives. Details here:
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/do...
The claims I referenced have now been removed from the website.
Could you please disclose any communication sent by the government
or their agents to Phorm or their website administrators concerning
this matter? If such a communication took place, when was it
issued, whom from and what did it contain? It may have been written
or verbal with call notes.
If a communication was not sent by the Prime Minister's Office or
website managers directly to Phorm, has any communication been sent
from the PM's office or the Downing Street Petition website
managers to others on this matter?
(Limit any search for information to the days from early in the day
on 28th April 2009 when the website was launched with the claim
text clearly visible)
Note:
I am concerned that my requests must not be seen as vexatious. We
need to challenge the way Phorm works because they appear to be
manipulating and obfuscating facts. We need to know the facts to
challenge them in a truthful and honest manner.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Paul Hancocks

Dear Sir or Madam,
On 13th May I wrote to you asking for the following under the FOI
Act; you are now late replying to this request:
"Could you please disclose any communication sent by the government
or their agents to Phorm or their website administrators concerning
this matter [the removal of a claim by Phorm that 'The website
managers at 10 Downing Street recognised their mistake
in allowing a misleading petition to appear on their site, and have
since provided assurances to Phorm that they will not permit this
to happen again']
If such a communication took place, when was it issued, whom from
and what did it contain? It may have been written or verbal with
call notes.
If a communication was not sent by the Prime Minister's Office or
website managers directly to Phorm, has any communication been sent
from the PM's office or the Downing Street Petition website
managers to others on this matter? (Limit any search for
information to the days from early in the day on 28th April 2009
when the website was launched with the claim text clearly visible)"
The full details of my request above are to be found here:

Under the law, you were required to reply by today, June 11th 2009,
or explain the reason for needing further time.
Please do the following:
a) Acknowledge receipt of this follow up communication.
b) Respond to the request I made, either with the response or the
reason you require further time (there is still a prescribed limit
to the additional time you might take, I'm sure you know the
details of that)
Many thanks
Yours sincerely,
Paul Hancocks
