Warmfront Scheme

D. Speers made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

Waiting for an internal review by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of their handling of this request.

From: D. Speers

12 June 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

DECC have referred me to your Dept and in seeking answers I am
copying you in on my questions to DECC which they have stated they
do not hold information on. I have since found out that question
number 1 was covered in Parliament recently and these are the other
points I need answers on please.

2) What percentage of these 275 complaints received since April
this year were regarding incorrect boiler installations?

3) Are the installers chosen by Warmfront, the schemes preferred
suppliers?

4) As suppliers of Government services are Warmfront/Warmsure/Eaga
subject to the Goods and Services Act

5) What percentage of Warmfront's implementation costs were
allocated for subsequent repair work by their preferred suppliers?

6) Do Warmfront/Warmsure/Eaga seek tender bids from preferred
suppliers

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,

D. Speers

Lots of 'fish wrestling' going on with this one and it would be good to discover just how many dissatisfied Warmfront customers are out there. It appears the Dept of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have only recorderd the number of complaints it has received since the beginning of April this year and up until the end of May DECC has received 275 expressions of dissatisfaction with the scheme .....THATS OVER 137 PER MONTH!:O()
