would be grateful if you could provided the following information

1. How many students graduated from your establishment in 2006

2. How many students graduated from your establishment in 2007

3. How many students graduated from your establishment in 2008

4. How many requests, from external individuals or organisations ,
to confirm the degree qualification of a former student at your
establishment, were received in 2006.

5. How many requests, from external individuals or organisations ,
to confirm the degree qualification of a former student at your
establishment, were received in 2007.

6. How many requests, from external individuals or organisations ,
to confirm the degree qualification of a former student at your
establishment, were received in 2008.

Dear Mr Fawcett

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request dated 27th
April regarding graduations and degree verifications.

The information you have requested in questions 1-3 regarding the amount of
students graduating between 2006 and 2008 is available on the University
website at:

and is therefore exempt from disclosure under s.21 of the Freedom of
Information Act as it is accessible by other means.

In relation to questions 4-6 of your request, we only hold a log of degree
verifications going back to March 2007. The figures that are available are:

- Number of requests from external individuals or organisations to confirm
the degree qualification of a former University of Bristol student

- March - December 2007 = 397
- January - December 2008 = 511

Copyright in the information you have been given belongs to the University
of Bristol. This material must not be copied, distributed, modified,
reproduced, transmitted, published (including published on the Internet or
an intranet), or otherwise made available in whole or in part without the
prior written consent of the copyright holder.
