Please be aware that the University offices are closed from Thursday 9th
April to Wednesday 15th April inclusive.

We will respond to your Freedom of Information request as soon as offices
re-open. Your request will be dated from the day it arrives in our
mailbox and a reply sent to you 20 working days from that date.

Dear Mr Fawcett

I am now able to supply the information you requested in your e-mail of
the 27th April relating to graduation numbers and qualification
verifications.

I should point out first of all that we do not keep records of the numbers
of requests for confirmation of degree qualifications and we are therefore
unable to answer your questions 4, 5 and 6. We can however, provide you
with information for your first three questions although it should be
noted that the numbers given are for those students who were awarded
degrees rather than those who attended graduation ceremonies. Numbers
also relate to the academic year rather than the calendar year.

1. 2005/6 - 3886 awards were made
2. 2006/7 - 3774 awards were made
3. 2007/8 - 3864 awards were made
