Any factual documents relating to the incident(s) which made
necessary the extreme delays to services from Newcastle to
Birmingham on the morning of 20th February 2009.
Documentation of the BTP's policy on protecting railway track from
vandalism.

Dear Mr Henderson,
I write in connection with your request for information dated 20^th
February 2009, asking for the following information:
Any factual documents relating to the incident(s) which made necessary the
extreme delays to services from Newcastle to Birmingham on the morning of
20th February 2009.
Documentation of the BTP's policy on protecting railway track from
vandalism.
Your request has been considered and as directed in Section 1 of the
Freedom of Information Act, we can confirm that we do hold the information
requested.
Please see the attached report which outlines the details of the incident
that delayed services near Darlington on the morning of 20^th February
2009. The report has been redacted for some personal information. Please
also find attached a document outlining BTP's operations to combat cable
theft on the railways.
