Dear INFO,

Thank you for your recent communication in which you request
clarification of the subject matter of my FOI request.

I asked "Please provide me with information relating to the value
and number of goods seized by Strathclyde Police from members of
the public who have not been convicted or charged with any criminal
offence."

This means that I wish to know how many items have been seized
(this means to deprive a person of their natural right to enjoy his
or her property) by Strathclyde Police (this is yourself), from
members of the public (these are your customers), and not returned
to the member of the public, even although no report has been made
to the Procurator Fiscal, no charges have been brought, and no
conviction obtained (the member of the public has not done anything
wrong).

ie the number (and where held) the approximate value of goods taken
from innocent members of the public, and never returned to them.

I hope tyhis clarifies my request according to your wishes.

Yours sincerely,

Ms Anne Thrope
