vacant property at the corner of Elsie Road and East Dulwich Grove SE22

David Haughton made this Freedom of Information request to Southwark Borough Council

The request was successful.

From: David Haughton

10 February 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to find out if this property is vacant, and if so what
can I do to move my family in there as I can't see the point in
this being vacant and not in use. I would be happy to carry out
works on this property should it need doing.

I pass this house all the time and the trees are overgrown and the
property is borded up

Also do the trees at the front or rear of the property have any
preservation orders on them?

Yours faithfully,

Mr David Haughton

Dear Mr Haughton

Thank you for your email which has been passed to me by my colleague Laura
Wannop.

The property has been empty a number of years, and the owners are looking
to demolish and rebuild on the site.

A number of planning applications have been submitted which have been
turned down and this has further delayed bringing the site back into use.

For more information on the planning history, please see the link below

We will continue to liaise with the owners to ensure the property/site is
brought back into use. My colleague will contact you shortly with more
information regarding the trees on the site.

Thank you for your interest in the Empty Homes Initiative and the report
of this property.

Kind regards

Celia
