surveillance operations carried out by you during the past three
years :

1. Precise dates times and places in each case together with
reasons for surveillance

2. Reports made on each of these occasions

3. Results and cost of these operations

4. By whom were these RIPA operations authorised.

Covert surveillance was carried out by WLDC ASBO team during 2008 (May/June)at Tealby Lincolnshire. The council has denied this. The object of these FOI
questions is to establish the truth - several contradictory answers have been given.

Dear Mr Murray

Further to our e-mail dated 26 February 2009, the Officer dealing with
your original request has provided information on the specific
authorisations you were interested in.

The information is as follows:

Checks have been made of the RIPA register and there has been no covert
surveillance authorised by West Lindsey District Council under the
Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 for locations in Tealby,
Lincolnshire in 2007/08.

Please note that your request for an Internal Review has been forwarded to
the Director of Strategy and Regeneration to be processed.

This statement is untrue. It is a fact that WLDC ASB
'team' made covert investigations about me. If they now state that no covert surveillance took place under RIPA then the investigation of me (and friends) was unauthorised.
