Update on 'Motor Vehicles: Exhaust Emissions'

Simon Birkett made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Transport

The request was partially successful.

From: Simon Birkett

15 September 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please provide me with all and any of the most up-to-date details
held by the Department for Transport or its related bodies on
'Motor Vehicles: Exhaust Emissions' in respect of the information
provided in Stephen Ladyman's parliamentary answer to James
Arbuthnot dated 25 June 2007 as below:

http://www.theyworkforyou.com/wrans/?id=...

The parlimentary answer referred to grams per kilometre (g/km) by
vehicle type for NOx, PM, CO, HC and CO2. In particular, it showed
that diesel vehicles produce much more of the hazardous emissions
than petrol vehicles. The data referred to testing up to the year
2001.

With best wishes.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Birkett, Founder and Principal Contact, Campaign for Clean
Air in London
