Regarding Shropshire County Council becoming a unitary authority
and abolition of the councils of North Shropshire, Oswestry,
Shresbury and Atcham, South Shropshire, and Bridgnorth, please
could you provide the following information:
1) how you are treating in-progress FOI and EIR requests & internal
reviews made to the residuary bodies
2) what happens to emails sent to the residuary bodies' FOI contact
addresses
3) where should all new FOI and EIR requests go to
4) what is happening to information previously held by the
residuary bodies, and where should requests for this information go
to

In answer to your queries, we reply as follows:
1) How you are treating in-progress FOI and EIR requests & internal
reviews made to the residuary bodies.
Shropshire Council will pick up any outstanding request and reviews and
aim to progress them within their original timescales.
2) what happens to emails sent to the residuary bodies' FOI contact
addresses
Emails will, for a short time, be forwarded to
[Shropshire Council request email]. However, to make the transition
easier any new communication should be made to the

www.shropshire.gov.uk
3) where should all new FOI and EIR requests go to

Requests should be made as detailed in items 2 & 3. Shropshire Council now
has ownership of all District/Borough Council information assets.
