L. Lluva made this Freedom of Information request to Brent Borough Council
Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Brent Borough Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

2008 if more convenient) inclusive:
1. The number of unauthorised places of worship that were
identified by the council's planning department.
2. The name and location of each of the unauthorised places of
worship identified, together with your case reference number.
3. The outcome in each case: whether each was subsequently
regularised; or shut; whether the case was referred to another
department, authority or agency; or whichever other outcome.
Yours faithfully,

Brent Council - INFORMATION REQUEST
Our Reference: 565763
====================================================
Dear Sir/Madam
I acknowledge your request for information received on 15 December 2009.
However, the Council is not willing to respond to your request without
verification of your identity. This is because there is a reasonable doubt
that the name supplied may not be your real name. Section 8 of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 requires that in order for a request to be valid an
applicant must give their name. The guidance from the Information
Commissioner on the law is that this must be a real name.
You can verify your identity in any of the following ways:-
¿ by providing a copy of the relevant part of your passport
¿ by providing a recent copy of a utility bill addressed to you at an
address to which the information requested can be sent
¿ by any other reasonable means
The information should be sent to this address by email or post. It will be
securely disposed of once your identity has been verified.
The 20 working day timetable for responding to your request is halted whilst
we await proof of identity.
However, I would also advise you that notwithstanding verification of
identity we will not send the information requested to the email address
you have provided. This is because we are aware that doing so will
automatically result in the information being published on the
whatdotheyknow website. Publication of information in this way may
constitute an unauthorised re-use (under the Re-use of Public Sector
Information Regulations 2005) and may infringe copyright. I would therefore
be grateful if you will provide me with an alternative disclosure address.
This can be a postal address, fax number or an email address, as long as it
does not result in automatic publication and re-use. If you wish to apply
for permission to re-use any of the requested information you may do so by
writing to the IT Standards Manager at Brent Council, Floor 5, 349-357 High
Road, Wembley HA9 6BZ , telephone 020 8937 1402, e-mail [Brent Borough Council request email]
If you wish to appeal against the requirement to provide verification of
identity and or an alternative disclosure address you can do so by writing
to the IT Standards Manager at the address given above.
You also have a right of appeal to the Information Commissioner. However,
the Information Commissioner will not normally consider an appeal until you
have exhausted your rights of redress and complaint to the Council. The
Information Commissioner can be contacted as follows: Information
Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9
5AF; Telephone: 01625 545 700, www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk
Yours faithfully
