Steve Elibank made this Freedom of Information request to HM Revenue and Customs

The request was partially successful.

From: Steve Elibank

11 March 2010

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please treat this as a request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

I believe that one of your corporate fonts is "Modena". How much
did the font/license cost you? From whom did you purchase it? How
was the decision made? What other fonts were considered?

Yours faithfully,
Steve Elibank

Dear Mr Elibank,

Thank you for your information request made on 14 May 2010. With
reference to your earlier enquiry about the Modena Font, you asked for:

"..an electronic copy of all correspondence between yourselves and the
design agency FutureBrand."

The correspondence which you have requested comprised email exchanges
between HMRC's Marketing team and FutureBrand. Having carried out a
reasonable search, I can advise you that HMRC does not hold this
correspondence. The Marketing team only retain emails for a period of 2
years and the correspondence, which took place in 2007 or earlier, has
been disposed of in line with this policy.

If you are not happy with this reply you may request a review by writing
to HMRC FOI Team, Room 1C/25, 100 Parliament Street London SWIA 2BQ. You
must request a review within 2 months of the date of this letter. It
would assist our review if you set out which aspects of the reply
concern you and why you are dissatisfied.

If you are not content with the outcome of an internal review, you may
apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The
Information Commissioner will not usually consider a case unless you
have exhausted the internal review procedure provided by HMRC. He can be
contacted at The Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House,
Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely

Teresa Chance
