Dear Madam or Sir,
Please supply a list, categorized by year and/or design, of
typefaces that have appeared on the obverse side (‘head’) of the

Thank you very much.

Dear Dr Tai
I am writing in reply to your Freedom of Information request of 28 January.
The obverses of United Kingdom coins use hand carved letttering which, although similar in style to Times New Roman, is not directly comparable with any specific typeface.
Yours sincerely

Dear Mr Payne,
Thank you for your information. (Though I notice that in recent
years the typeface has changed significantly, to one more akin to
Century.)
Sincerely,
Kaihsu Tai
