Dear Mr Kristiansen,

Your request of 6 April for information regarding the Government Art
Collection

I refer to your request of 6 April 2009, which read as follows:

"Could the Advisory Committee on the Government Art Collection please
indicate, to the nearest million pounds, what the current cost is for arts
purchased in the financial years 1997-2009. And is it the taxpayer who
pays for these artworks? Or is it funded from a private source, If so
whom?"
