Dear Stockport Borough Council,
On Thursday February 25th Mr Parnell, a chap criminalised and sent
to prison by Stockport Council for the 'offence' of a sneeze which
didn't even happen, was apparently wrestled to the ground by three
burly security officers for the 'offence' of trying to enter
Stockport Town Hall at circa 17.00 instead of 17.25 to give him
time to read the meeting agenda, which should have been sent out to
him by the Council previously but wasn't. Mr. Parnell was
subsequently acquitted in a Crown Court case which must have cost
the taxpayer a lot of money and he has no criminal record
whatsoever. Was a report of this incident given to the Chief
Executive - John Schultz, the Executive Councillor who should have
dealt with his problem previously - Mark Weldon, the Deputy Council
Leader - Sue Derbyshire, the Leader - Dave Goddard, the Director of
Children and Young People's Directorate - Andrew Webb, the Council
Solicitor - Barry Khan, or the Deputy Chief Executive - Ged Lucas?
I don't want to read any report. I just want to know if these
officials were informed of what went on on the evening of Thursday,
25th February 2010.
Yours faithfully,
Sheila Oliver
