Travelling for Work Reasons

Dear Sir or Madam,

Where council employees need to use their own transport during the
course of their duties does the council pay mileage? If so how
much?; If for work purposes they use there own transport to go a
location other than their normal place of work are they made aware
that their car insurance policies will not usually cover them? A
standard car
insurance policy only covers the driver for travel between their
home and normal place of work unless exceptions are specified
