Dear Sir or Madam,
I recently missed a First Capital Connect train (the 22:04 from St
Pancras to Bedford on 18th June 2008) as the train left nearly a
minute before the advertised/timetable time.
I spoke with somebody at Network Rail and they confirmed that this
is not an unusual occurrence and a computer monitors when this
happens and hence statistics should be available.
I would be grateful if these statistics could be made available in
the public domain - specifically broken down by train companies.
I have written to FCC about this specific incident, but I am very
keen to understand the scale of the problem to try to reduce these
unnecessary passenger frustrations.
Yours faithfully,
P Catterfeld
