This is not good enough..info. from Council, that this info. is 'EXEMPT', from us..the taxpayers of Wirral. All info., is 'exempt', it seemms, if it is useful. I was asked to put this question, as written, by a male who is not computer literate....This is not good enough..this means that those without computer literacy, may not be involved in securing their democratic right to inclusion in the debates and decision making. Wirral Council and PCT seem to delight in obstructing the flow of the information asked for, by the folk who pay their wages..increasing the divide...not conducive to good health and open society. Disgraceful. VAL CURTIS

What have they got to hide....we all know,..the less info. given..good stalling tactic....no further questions! No opposition!

Hi Val

Section 21 is a "technical" exemption - it actually means that the information is already available to the public.

As they're required to provide "advice & assistance" (Section 16 of FOI Act), they've given you the direct links to the speciific planning information you've requested on their website can be found:

They've made the correct assumption that as you've written via a website, you'll be able to access the information on another website. If this is not the case (eg you would have preferred to receive printed copies) then you should have made this clear to authority when making your FOI request.

If the information on that website wasn't what you were looking for, then you probably need to be a little more specific in a follow-up request, and tell them that the information provided wasn't what you were looking for.

Best wishes

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,

Thanks Alex...the difficulty is, I put the question, as put to me
by a third party....I hate computer; my skills are limited..and the
third party is not computer literate either. However, it does seem
that these big institutions...PCT/Council, deliberately use
stalling tactics/..convolutions in acquiring access to info. via
computer, which is daunting/time consuming to all average folk..who
are not big institutions. Locally, these are a disgrace! I consider
myself fairly able, in other ways..this proves that anyone less
'able' than I am, could not even begin to access anything. The
F.O.I system should not be dependent on computer literacy skills.
Thank you Alex. I always run out of time/skills. VAL C

Yours sincerely,

VAL CURTIS

Thank you. Thingwall Primary school is next to Stanley school. I would not describe it as a 'large school'. This minute, cannot access 'link'....'web page' not accessible at present.
