Total Number of all Children & Total Number of Care Plans

Dear Elizabeth Fell
 
Thank you for your request of 23 December in which you asked for the
following information:

1. Total actual number of children within your local area as of
March 31, 2009.

2. Of that total number of children, how many of that total had a
Social Service Care Plan on March 31, 2009.

You clarified this request on 29 December as follows:

Please could I amend by previous request as I have realized I
didn't specify which Care Plan in number 2.

Can we please amend number 2 of the above request to read:

2. Of that total number of children, how many of that total had a
CPR3 category B Child Protection plan on March 31, 2009

Your request is being considered and Oxfordshire County Council will
respond as soon as possible within the next 20 working days in compliance
with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. This means that the council
will send a response to you by 27 January 2010.

Taking each of your points in turn:

1. Total actual number of children within your local area as of March
31, 2009.

The total number of under 18s in Oxfordshire as of 31 March 2009 was
136,800.

2. Of that total number of children, how many of that total had a
Social Service Care Plan on March 31, 2009.

A total of 250 children had a Child Protection Plan at that date.
