Expenses claimed by public sector officials dropped after the Bourne expenses scandal. Probably because the press started to take an interest.

Bourn’s reputation has been forever tarnished by a phenomenal, three-year expenses bill that almost topped £400,000.

£4403 plus £416 plus £8584 is not £8263!!!

She only managed to add 4,6 and 3 together correctly before it all became too much, it seems!

Also, from memory, I believe that these figures are not the same as were given in response to an earlier request. I'll check and forward the date of that and the figures given then.
