The Software Refinery Limited

I am writing to confirm that the Bona Vacantia Division ("the Division") has completed its search for the information you requested in your e-mail dated 13th November 2008 and received on 14th November 2008. Your request is being dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ("the Act").

You have requested copies of "any documents that you are in possession of regarding the dissolved company "The Software Company Ltd" (Company Number 2844038)".Please note that the Act entitles you to have information that we hold communicated to you, subject to any applicable exemptions under the Act, rather than to copies of documents. Therefore I have interpreted your request to be for any information that we hold regarding The Software Company Limited (Company Number 2844038).

I confirm that the Division holds the information that you requested.

The only information that we hold about the company is information about its dates of incorporation and dissolution, its last registered address and its country of origin etc. and details of Company Appointments. All of this information is readily available from Companies House and is therefore exempt from disclosure under section 21 of the Act. You can obtain the information from Companies House either on line using its Webcheck Service at www.companieshouse.gov.uk or by making a telephone order from Companies House on +44 (0)303 1234 500. Additional information held on our file in connection with the above company is a record of our conclusion that the assets of The Software Company Limited have vested in the Crown under S.654 Companies Act 1985.

If you are unhappy with the level of service you have received in relation to your request, you may ask for an internal review within two months of the date of receiving this response.
