Dear Sir,
I refer to your request for a review dated 23rd September and your email
of 29th September clarifying that the further information requested was
in respect of under occupied properties.
In terms of Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002,
I hereby give notice that the Council does not hold the information which
you have requested.
By way of explanation, I would say that although occupancy information is
now requested in respect of new tenancies, this information was not
requested in the past and is therefore not available for the majority of
tenancies. However even in respect of those cases where this information
was requested, it is unlikely to be accurate. This is because there is no
requirement for the Council to be notified when a member of a household
leaves which could happen at any time. I regret that we are therefore not
in a position to provide you with the information you have requested.
If you are dissatisfied with the Council’s response to your request for
a review, you have the right to make an application to the Scottish
Information Commissioner in terms of Section 47(1) of the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Any such application must be made before
the expiry of six months after the date of receipt of this email and
should be sent to the Scottish Information Commissioner, Kinburn Castle,
Doubledykes Road, St. Andrews, Fife, KY16 9DS.
Yours faithfully,
Iain Matheson

best use housing stocks if you cant even tell how many three
bedroom houses only have one or two tenants ?.
Or was it to much like hard work to go and find the info.
