Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea,
Hopefully a simple question for your Trading Standards Department.
1. In the last 12 months, how many times has the company, Tescos,
been reported for overcharging their customers.
2. If the reply is more than nil, what actions have been taken.
3. Which are the immediate neighbouring Trading Standards to your
own.
Yours faithfully,
Angus Gill

Dear Mr Gill
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REF: 2010-048
I am responding to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
which we received on 15 January 2010 for information held by the Council.
You requested:
1. In the last 12 months, how many times has the company, Tescos, been
reported for overcharging their customers.
In the previous twelve months we have received three complaints against
Tesco (two locations) pertaining to alleged wrong prices being charged.
2. If the reply is more than nil, what actions have been taken.
These complaints were dealt with by visiting the store and in two cases
making test purchases to verify the complaint. No further legal action was
taken in respect of any of the complaints.
3. Which are the immediate neighbouring Trading Standards to your own.
Our immediate neighbours are the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and
Fulham, the City of Westminster and the London Boroughs of Brent and
Harrow.
