Can you please provide the following information for the Window
Cleaning of North Tyneside Councils Buildings.
1. Is the whole amount of £25,605 per annum paid to one contractor
or a number of contractors?
2. Can you also advise if the whole amount of £25,605 per annum is
paid to one contractor?, is there an official written tender
contract? What was the inception date? when is it up for review?
and was it signed off/authorised by The Head Of Legal Services or
someone with the same rank?
3. Can you also advise if the window cleaning contract was
advertised in the media? When? and which media type/format?

Cleaning of North Tyneside Councils Buildings.

Whole amount paid to one contractor.
2. Can you also advise if the whole amount of £25,605 per annum is paid to one contractor?, is there an official written tender contract? What was the inception date? when is it up for review? and was it signed off/authorised by The Head Of Legal Services or someone with the same rank?
Contract tendered in 1997 and started in April 1997, under CCT regs. Original term to March 2000, after which reviewed under Best Value regs. but not tendered subsequently. Signed off via Contracts Unit/ Head of Building Services/Head of Legal.
3. Can you also advise if the window cleaning contract was advertised in the media? When? and which media type/format?
Advertised in trade media via Contracts Unit as per Standing Orders applicable in 1997.
