Dear Mr Gray

I refer to your enquiry below about the parking bay in Newbegin, Hornsea.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council by virtue of the authority granted to
a Local Authority under The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 made a Traffic
Regulation Order (TRO) on 26 July 2006 to make minor alterations to the
parking bay outside the almshouses. The TRO relocated a taxi parking space
together with a dedicated space for blue badge holders, both of which were
previously located in the middle of the limited waiting bay. The taxi
parking place is now at the westerly end of the bay and the space for blue
badge holders is at the easterly end. However, the overall length of the
bay available for parking remains the same as one hour limited waiting has
replaced the previously central dedicated parking places for taxis and blue
badge holders.
