Dear Sir or Madam,

Sec 44 of the Terrorism Act 2000 allows offices to conduct stop and
search of members of the public. Could you please tell me if any
targets or quotas have been set for the numbers these Stop and
Searches to be carried out by officers at Leeds Railway Station.

With reference to your request dated 7^th January 2009 asking:

Sec 44 of the Terrorism Act 2000 allows offices to conduct stop and

search of members of the public. Could you please tell me if any

targets or quotas have been set for the numbers these Stop and

Searches to be carried out by officers at Leeds Railway Station.

British Transport Police can advise you that no quotas are set for any
location within the jurisdiction of BTP.
