Information Act (FOIA), for information about swine flu statistics, and
this Department's and the NHS's response to the situation.
Data on the number of swine flu cases reported in the UK and the number of
deaths, up to 1 June 2009, is publicly available on the Health Protection
Agency (HPA) website at:

We have given this link in accordance with S21 of the FOIA, which enables
us to refer requestors directly to published sources of information.
No vaccine is available yet for swine flu so no one in the UK has been
vaccinated.
We have spent in the region of -L-7 million on raising awareness about
swine flu and the swine flu information line.
You may find it useful to visit the Department's website, [2]www.dh.gov.uk
, and the NHS website, [3]www.nhs.uk , for further information about swine
flu and countermeasures.
I hope that this is helpful. If you are dissatisfied with the handling of
