Subject: Request for information regarding amounts paid by schools in
respect of temporary staffing cover

Thank you for your recent request for information received by this office
on 18 March 2010. Your request is being dealt with under the terms of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.

will aim to respond to your request, notifying you whether or not the
information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council and
communicating that information to you (provided that the information is

I write further to our previous e-mail. Please could you clarify whether
you are requesting the total amount paid by the school or the total amount
paid overall to each supplier, or the total amount paid per school to each
supplier (in many cases schools have more than one supplier).

Please could you also confirm whether you would like us to limit the
information supplied to just temporary teaching staff or whether you would
like to include other type of temporary staff such as cleaning staff and
special speakers and sports instructors etc.

hear back from you.

Please can you provide the total annual spend for supply teachers (both
direct and through agencies) with England

1) Please can you provide information by Local authority and government
region.

2) Please can you provide the information seperately for direct and
supply teacher agencies where posible

3) Can you please give a total for these figures by both direct and supply
agencies

4) can these be for year 08/09

A. Please find attached Excel document detailing information you have
requested above. Please note that this information only relates to
schools on the SAP system, which is our main system. (Please also note
that there are two tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet to click
into 'amounts ' and 'school list').
