Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
1. Please send me any data or estimates that you hold about the
accuracy of the vehicle records held by DVLA.
In particular, I wish to know:
1.1 The total number of vehicle records that you hold.
1.2 Your most recent statistics for, or estimates of, the
percentage of vehicle records that are correct in every respect.
1.3 Your most recent statistics for, or estimates of, the
percentage of vehicle records that contain errors.
1.4 Your most recent statistics for, or estimates of, the
percentage of vehicle records that contain errors sufficiently
serious that you cannot contact the vehicle's registered keeper.
1.5 Your most recent statistics for, or estimates of, the
percentage of vehicle records that contain errors that originate
within DVLA, including data-entry errors by your staff.
1.6 Your most recent statistics for, or estimates of, the
percentage of vehicle records that contain errors that originate
from incorrect information submitted by vehicle owners and keepers,
or from their failure to inform you of relevant changes in the
vehicle's details.
1.7 Any other statistics that you hold about the accuracy of DVLA
vehicle records.
2. Please send me any data or estimates that you hold about the
accuracy of the driver records held by DVLA.
In particular, I wish to know:
