Hi Chug
It is my understanding that the non-payment of BBC Tv TAX is civil matter and not criminal matter. The presence of the policeman is to ensure a breech of the peace is not caused, i.e resulting in fisty cuffs. The policeman can not aide the TV bogeyman entry to your house.
When a warrant is issued it MUST be signed by the issuing magistrate. As with most/many warrants they are signed by the magistrates secretary/assistant, which is not legal(i think, im not sure?!).
You can send the Tv bogeyman a letter removing their 'implied rights of access' before their first visit as a back up, since you are not obliged to allow them access anyway or obliged to sign anything or answer any of their questions.
Another angle to consider is, their paper work is addressed to MR. CHUG who is your LEGAL PERSONALITY. Your legal personality is your BIRTH CERTIFICATE, a piece of paper. A piece of paper does not watch TV. Mines lives in the loft in a box. One possible remedy considering this angle would be to write across the envelope in red pen RETURN TO SENDER, NO CONTRACT. ADDRESSEE NOT RECOGNISED. The DVLA have got wise to this as when they send out their TAX reminders on the back of the envelope it no states IF UNDELIVERED DO NOT RETURN TO SENDER.
Hope that helps.
James

Thanks James,
I know, but I think it's in the public interest to see where and how their money is being spent.
