Dear Sir or Madam,

1. Please could you provide the average number of sick days staff
took during 2008, and a further breakdown of the figure showing the
average for male and female staff seperately.

2. Also, according to the Annual Report, DVLA has several
'Directorates'. Please provide the sick rate for each of these
departments, and again further broken down to male and female sick
leave.

If the figures are not readily available for the calender year
2008, then use the financial year or any other recent 12 month
period.

Interesting figures, quickly and fully provided by DVLA. If all employees could follow the example of the male staff in Policy and External Department and the female staff in the Chief Executive Department then the tax payer would be much better off!
