Dear Mr Jones
Thank you for your request dated 10 August 2009 for information about a
speed camera on the A40 at Lea in Herefordshire. Your request has been
processed within the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Could you please confirm that the calibration certificate for the
Gatsometer speed device sighted at Lea on the A40 to Gloucester issued on
20^th January 2009 replaced that signed by L J Boers which had expired on
11^th January 2007.
There is no specific recorded information held as detailed in your
request. To assist you and for your information, a Gatsometer speed device
is not unique to a particular external housing. Gatsometer speed devices
can and are moved between sites. Calibration certificates relate to a
specific speed device and not the housing in which the devices are kept.
I would also want you to confirm that you adhere to the ACOP (sic) code of
practice which states that any device used operationally MUST have a
current calibration certificate.
