On 11th August 2010 we received the following request for information from
you:

"I would like to know how many looked after children have the
official "statements of special needs". In addition please supply
the details, if the children concerned were "statemented" before,
or after entering the care system."

Your request for information has been considered under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I can confirm that Hertfordshire County Council
does hold the information you have requested. As at 17th August 2010, the
number of Children Looked After (CLA) with Statements of Special Needs is
213. 100 of these children were statemented before they came into care.
