SP outcomes data by ethnic group

Francis Bacon made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Communities and Local Government

The request was successful.

From: Francis Bacon

26 August 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to submit a Freedom of Information request for
information on Supporting People outcomes held by the Centre for
Housing Research at St Andrew's University on behalf of Communities
and Local Government.

This request is similar to my request 3212.

I am interested in the information submitted on both 'Short-term'
and 'Long-term' forms for both 2007/08 and 2008/09.

For each provider held on the database I would like to know: 1)
National Client Record Provider ID 2) National Provider ID 3)
Organisation Name 4) SP Administering Authority 5) Total number of
client records submitted

For each provider I would then also like to know the total number
of clients who i) were identified as being in need of support for
each outcome. ii) were identified as having achieved each outcome.

By 'outcome' I mean 1(a), 1(b) etc. (of which I believe there are
17 in total).

This request is different to request 3212 since it is for
providers, not services. Fewer clients should therefore be 'lost'
as a result of the confidentiality requirement.

Please in addition provide the following information for each
provider (not grouped by SP Administering Authority) and SP
Administering Authority (not grouped by provider):
A) Average number of 'in need' outcomes per client
B) Average number of 'actual outcome achieved' outcomes per client.
C) Number of client records submitted

For indicators these three indicators I would like the information
split by ethnic group as follows: i) White : British ii) Other
ethnic group iii) Do not wish to disclose or not indicated.

For this part of the request I therefore expect nine columns of
data per provider and nine columns per SP Administering Authority.

Yours faithfully,

Francis Bacon

Following a telephone conversation with DCLG this request has been amended. They will provide the number of outcomes forms submitted, rather than the number of client record forms.

Dear Sarah,

Many thanks for responding to this request so thoroughly and
comprehensively. Please also pass on my thanks to your colleagues.

I appreciate that responding to FOI requests must be time-consuming
and disruptive. In my experience so far the DCLG is more punctual
and helpful than other departments - so thanks again!

Best wishes

Francis
