Good Morning Mr Nash,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request to the Borough of
Poole regarding the purchase of shredders. I have collated the
information provided to me by Service Units from across the Council into
the attached spreadsheet, which I hope you will find of use.

In summary, our 21 service units have purchased 25 shredders over the
past five years. The reasons for these purchases were mainly to ensure
the secure disposal of confidential information held by the Council,
with a longer term aim of cutting down on the cost to taxpayer and the
environment in sending confidential waste for destruction. The varying
costs of the purchases can be explained by the level of confidential
disposal required (eg cross cutting etc).

I hope that this information answers your request. Please let me know if
you need anything further.

If you have any complaints in respect of your information request,
