Dear Bexley Borough Council,

Can you please provide the information on and where appropriate
copies of relevant documents of:

1) What land for allotments or growing spaces, both private and
public, have you requested in the last 5 years?

2) From the land requested in the last 5 years, what land has not
been put into use for your residents to grow on?

3) How many planning applications do you currently have which could
be used to make a Section 106 requirement for land to grow on?

4) What targets are in place to increase the use of Section 106 to
provide more land for your residents to grow on?

5) What is currently being done in your borough to provide
alternative land for residents to grow on?

This is a request made pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST
Section 106 growing spaces - Bexley - our reference 10/465

I acknowledge your request for information received on 7th July 2010.

Your request is being considered and you will receive the information requested within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, subject to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third party.

For your information, the Act defines a number of exemptions, which may prevent release of the information you have requested. Clarification requested.

I would be grateful if you could clarify the request for information that you have made regarding Section 106 growing spaces.

In particular, please could you clarify "What land for allotments or growing spaces, both private and public, have you requested........."
Do you mean through the Town Planning process? Or something else?

I would be grateful if you could provide the additional clarification so that the London Borough of Bexley can progress your enquiry.

To clarify I am asking you to provide the information of all the
land that Bexley Council has requested through the Town and Country
Planning Act 1990. This includes the land you have requested for
allotments using Section 106.
