Dear Ms Theis

I am writing in response to your request for information below.

As I understand it you are requesting to know:

1) What land for allotments or growing spaces, both private and public,
have you requested in the last 5 years?
None that we are aware of

2) From the land requested in the last 5 years, what land has not been
put into use for your residents to grow on?
see above

3) How many planning applications do you currently have which could be
used to make a Section 106 requirement for land to grow on?
All the planning applications received by the council are available to
be viewed on our website
http://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/index.jsp?a...
given that the Council recieved ariound 140 applications in June 2010
alone it is impossible to answer this question as we do not record
information in a manner in which would allow suitable applications to be
easily and readily identified.

4) What targets are in place to increase the use of Section 106 to
provide more land for your residents to grow on?
The councils planning objectives are contained in our unitary
development plan which is available on our website
http://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/media/pdf/3...

There is no specific objective to use s106 to provide more land for
residents to grow on but it does contain objectives in regards to
protecti9ng agricultural land and land currently used for allotments.

5) What is currently being done in your borough to provide alternative
land for residents to grow on?
We currently have 1607 plots with 200+ plots available for rent at our
allotment sites. With this surplus we have no plans at present to make
more land available.
