Dear Sir/Madam,
Please treat this as a request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.
Under the 1949 Marriage Act (as amended), a number of people are
certified to your organisation as Secretary of a Synaoguge. Please
provide me with the following information:
— How many such persons are currently registered?
— (if not exempted) The names and synagogues of such people.
— How many have been certified in each way, as in, by the President
of the Board of Deputies, by twenty householders professing the
Jewish religion and being members of
the West London Synagogue etc.
— In the case of those certified by twenty householders (this would
also apply to the Liberal Jewish Synagogue), who were these twenty?
If you require any clarification, please contact me as soon as
possible.
Yours faithfully,
Steve Elibank

Dear Selwyn,
Thank you for your reply (albeit it is very late!).
In light of the response, please could you provide me with a list
of synaogues which have Secretaries registered to them? I do not
require any names of individuals, so no personal information should
be involved.
Please reply to confirm receipt of this message.
Yours sincerely,
Steve Elibank
