City of London Police Authority

Following your request of 3 February 2009 @ 14:24 concerning Scientology
organisations, and our acknowledgement of 4 February, the City of London
(CoL) Police Authority responds as follows.
We have no record of gifts, hospitality or donations from Scientology
organisations having been accepted within the past 5 years.
Please note that the CoL Police Authority is legally a separate body from
the City of London Police, including for the purpose of compliance with
the FOIA. The FOI contact details for the City of London Police are:
Freedom of Information Officer, City of London Police, PO Box 36427, 37
Wood Street, London, EC2M 2NP, or Tel: 020-7601 2222. Email:

We hope that this is of assistance. Please note that the CoL is the local
authority for "the square mile" only, ie the historic City of London and
not London as a whole. Please note also that the FOIA applies to the CoL
as a local authority, police authority and port health authority; and that
the FOIA does not apply to elected Members in their constituency work. If
you wish to make a complaint about the way the CoL has handled your
enquiry under the FOIA, please make your complaint in writing to email
address: [City of London Police Authority request email] (emails sent to which
address are seen by four members of staff including the corporate
Complaints Officer). For a link to the CoL's FOI complaints procedure,
please visit the following page, [3]www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Feedback, at
the end of which is located the FOI complaints procedure. If, having used
the CoL's FOI Complaints Procedure, you are still dissatisfied, you may
request the Information Commissioner to investigate. Please contact:
Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire,
SK9 5AF. Telephone: (01625) 545700.
