Dear T Mahony,

Thank you for your letter in response to my FOI request.

The web page to which you refer, 'Correspondence & Meetings with
Scientologists (Dec 2008)', does not answer my question, in that my
question refers to gifts, donations and hospitality received from
Scientology organisations, whereas the document in question refers
to correspondence and meetings with Scientologists.

In other forces, it is normal practise for police officers and
civilian employees to record any gifts or donations they receive.
Does your force not have such a policy?

Thank you for for time and attention.

Yours sincerely,

William Thackeray

Mr Thackery - our response relates to both Scientology organiations and
individual Scientologists, in that we have no record of any gift or
hospitality received from either source in our gift and hospitality
registers other than the one referred to in the previous answer on the
website. Our Gifts and Hospitality Policy is publicly accessible on our
website at http://www.sussex.police.uk/foi/foi_main... under 'Lists and
Registers'

Hope this helps.
